Lions Park will reopen Spring of 2014.
Lions Park was closed this year for renovations. The city received $250,000 Municipal Park Grant to help with the cost of updating the park. In phase one, the pavilion was re-done, while adding a new smaller pavilion. The entry road was widened and more parking was added. There are new picnic areas, along with a new playground. Additional improvements will be part of phase two.

TROUT FISHING AT KOENEMAN PARK
Rainbow trout have been stocked at Koeneman park for winter fishing. Trout fishing is "catch and release" through January 31st, with "catch and keep" starting February 1st. This will be strictly enforced! Catch and release fisherman need a fishing license if between the ages of 16-64. To catch and keep your fish in February, a trout permit is required in addition to a fishing license. Winter hours for Koeneman Park are 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
KOENEMAN PARK RULES
Hours from April 1st to October 31st, 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Winter hours from November 1st to March 31st, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Dogs are allowed on leashes. Owners must pick up/dispose of any feces. No glass containers Open fires are not permitted Bicycle riding and skating are permitted on paved surfaces. No skateboards or motor scooters/bikes. or entertain guest at one of our picnic areas or pavilion? Do you ever ask yourself, this is a beautiful park and I would like to help keep it that way? Then you are the person we are looking for, to become a member of our “FRIENDS OF THE PARK PROGRAM”. This is voluntary program where individuals offer their time and skills in beatification projects, litter patrol, and assist us with a variety of community events held at the park, i.e. Jenningsfest, Easter Egg Hunts, and Park Concerts. GAZEBO RENTALThe beautiful gazebo sitting on top of the waterfall at Koeneman Park is available to rent for small weddings and wedding pictures, after April 1st, but may be reserved at least one year in advance. If interested contact the Jennings Recreation Department at 314-388-3040.
BALLFIELD RENTALIf you are interested in using our ball fields at Koeneman Park, you will need to call Cidy Tharp Director of Recreation to find our if there are any available dates. The Jennings Recreation Departments reserve the right to adjust our field use, if needed, to accommodate city run events. Some restriction do apply so for more information please contact Cindy Tharp at 314-388-3040 ext. 6. A permit request needs to be completed and returned to:

FISHING AND LAKE REGULATIONS FOR KOENEMAN PARKGenerally, any person between the ages of 15 and 64 must have a Missouri Fishing License to fish. Our lake is stocked by Missouri Conservation Department.
Type of Fish Daily Limit Length Large Mouth Bass 2 18" min Channel Catfish 4 None All other fish combined 10 None Pole and line fishing only (maximum 3 poles/per person) No boating allowed (except for city and conservation department boats and goose patrol). No cleaning or disposing of fish. No fish can be taken for bait. Hunting and shooting are not allowed. Fishing A City of Jennings license is not required, but fishermen must comply with all state of Missouri fishing regulations, including a state fishing license for persons 16 to 64 years of age. Missouri Department of Conservation The Missouri Department of Conservation stocks, enforces daily limits, and helps manage the lake through its Urban Fishing Program. Part of the program includes the stocking of trout biweekly, November through February. St. Louis County Jennings police officers enforce limits and permits. is to have a living memorial. The City of Jennings has a tree dedication program. For only $225.00 you can dedicate a tree to be planted at Koeneman Park. You will receive a plaque placed with your tree and framed certificate. The City of Jennings will also begin a paved brick dedication in the spring.
